Founder Story

While it’s a great start, ‘Ethics’ and ‘Sustainability’ aren’t simply buzzwords for me, it’s a commitment to continued improvement to ensure clothing is made responsibly.

Lady Loaf was founded in 2024 from eye-opening experiences, like my travels to Bangladesh. Despite Bangladesh being one of the largest garment industries in the world, exploitation is not uncommon for textile workers and brands who cut corners are a major reason for this.

It started from experiencing many moments of consumer fatigue, failing to find high-quality garments that were being produced responsibly. It wasn’t until I learnt about textiles (and invested time in sewing) where I found myself being misled by most brands. It’s why I chose to source and produce high-quality garments from my hometown in Melbourne, Australia where I am frequently overseeing the process.

Producing one garment involves a lot of time and labour, so it’s important for me as the founder to know of the origin, process and people involved.
